We enlisted the services of Mike Miller, Celebrity Dog Training, based on the recommendation of our neighbor. Our toy poodles are 5 years old and are generally well behaved. We really wanted help with one big issue – barking at the TV! Anytime an animal would come on TV our poodles would bark and carry on to the point that we could no longer watch Animal Planet or any commercial with a dog in it. We became very frustrated because no matter how we intervened, the barking continued. 1 figured that at age 5, we probably would have a very hard time breaking this very annoying habit. However, 1 can happily say that after only one visit, we had control over the situation. We are now getting to the point that with one command, the barking stops! Mike does a great job of explaining how a dog interprets a situation and how our behavior can either hinder or help. 1 was also relieved to know that Mike does not use treats to change the behavior. Poodles are smart enough to know how to manipulate that game! lt is all done with tone of voice, proper commands, and praise. We are so happy we met Mike and will call upon him in the future if needed.
